About

I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with 6 years of experience in areas including substance abuse, mental health issues ranging from bipolar disorder, anxiety & depression to sexual issues mainly focused on men. I have worked with clients seeking goals of harm reduction, abstinence, communication skills, or coping skills for mental health disorders and life stressors. I have also helped college students deal with issues such as academic stress, ADHD, LGBT issues, motivation, and adjusting to college and post-college issues.

My counseling approach is sociable and interactive. I believe in unconditional positive regard and treating the counselor/client relationship as a team approach. My theoretical foundation is a blend of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and existential therapies. I am willing to adjust my communication style to help you feel as comfortable as necessary in order for therapy to be productive for you.

I believe that learning to accept things beyond our control or develop new coping skills for a disorder or life stressors is a challenging, but rewarding one.
