Mike Connell earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler University in Chicago and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Illinois (License No. 166.001254) Mike has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. His specialities include relationship and family issues, transition to adulthood, self-esteem, anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma-related issues. Mike is a person-centered, emotionally-focused therapist. He collaborates with his clients to foster self-awareness and promote empathy and open-mindedness within relationships. Mike integrates skill building and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into sessions to help clients gain a healthy understanding of themselves and their relationships. He strives to create a comfortable, relaxed therapeutic environment that grows with his clients. When not in the office, Mike enjoys homebrewing, binge-watching Netflix, finding new restaurants to check out, and spending time with friends.
