About
My name is Michael Cody and I am a Licensed Mental health Counselor (LMHC). I have been working with children, teenagers, adults, couples and elderly clients since 2019. My experience providing quality mental health therapy in a variety of settings, including substance abuse treatment centers, the department of children and families, the juvenile justice department, and community mental health agencies has shown me how psychological illness can arise in a diverse set of people, regardless of life circumstance. I have worked with clients suffering from severe symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, anger, guilt, relationship difficulties, parenting problems, and family issues. I have also treated clients who have experienced sexual, physical, and emotional trauma. Prior to working as a licensed mental health counselor, I worked for 2 years in the department of children and families as a child safety case manager which involved working with abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes by the state and reuniting them with their families. I also have worked for 3 years in residential and outpatient substance abuse facilities in various roles, including mental health technician, access center counselor, and residential counselor.
