About
Reaching out for support during a difficult time can be challenging and even scary. I commend you for your courage in reaching out! I consider it a great honor to have the opportunity to walk alongside the individuals I work with in therapy during what are often times the most painful or challenging times in their lives. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with my Master’s in Clinical Social Work in 2006 and I have worked as a Psychotherapist since that time. I have experience working with diverse populations, treating a wide variety of mental health, phase-of-life and behavioral issues. A tremendous amount of my work has been devoted to helping individuals suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Affective Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as issues pertaining to life changes/transition, grief and loss. I have had the privilege of helping many Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse and Trauma in working through their past experiences and moving towards healing. I consider it the greatest honor to have the ability to be here for people during their times of greatest need, using therapeutic techniques as a lantern, of sorts, to light the way on the path towards healing. I use a variety of different therapeutic techniques and treatment modalities, which are tailored to the needs of the person, with whom I am working and what they need at that particular time. Some of these treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. My approach is client-centered, warm, genuine and non-judgmental. I provide an atmosphere of acceptance and support; a safe place where you can be who you are, feel what you feel, as well as to process and work through those feelings. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about my approach. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience and we can begin this journey together.
