Hi! My name is Melody Alford. I am a Licensed Processional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I have a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and have a love of learning, especially when it comes to ways to support my clients. I have experience working with clients in many settings including non-profit and residential settings. I am excited to be a part of the Find A Therapist team to reach clients through a new medium.
Some of my background includes working with clients that suffer from addiction, parenting and relationship issues, attachment, anxiety including life transitions and depression.
I practice from an eclectic approach and primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. I believe that the relationship is what is most important in counseling in order to support clients through their journey.
I believe I can help by being a sounding board to my clients by sharing perspective in order to help them gain insight that can add value to their lives.
