Hello and welcome, my name is Melissa Simonini and I'm glad you are here. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey with 5 years of experience in the mental health field and 3 years as a women's trauma therapist. I have worked with clients and families in a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, trauma, addictions, and relationship issues.
I earned a bachelors degree in music from Rowan University and my masters degree in clinical social work with individuals and families from Monmouth University in 2016. I would describe myself as down to earth and I enjoy learning new things, creativity, and connecting to others.
My therapy style is non judgmental, honest, and compassionate. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working together to create a life worth living. My approach combines dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy and a strengths-based approach. I will do my best to get to know you and understand your unique needs.
