Hello! My name is Melissa and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience in the human services field, and have been providing psychotherapy since 2017. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2010 and my Master's Degree in Social Work in 2014. I have worked with young adults, older adults and elders, specifically around the following issues: anxiety/depression, chronic illness/pain, end of life/hospice, adjustment/life transitions, and stroke/traumatic brain injury.
My counseling style is warm and interactive, with a strengths-based and solution focused lens. As I believe there is a no “one size fits all” approach to counseling, I like to use a combination of treatment modalities, such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
