Hello and welcome to your first steps in a new life. Here is a little about me. My name is Melissa Davis and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor. I graduated from Seton Hall University with a Master's Degree in Counseling. I have also received Certifications in Play Therapy and Substance Abuse Therapy. I have been in the Mental Health field for 13 years providing different services such as Intensive In-Home, Day Treatment, Outpatient Therapy and Group Home counseling. I have worked with numerous populations such as men, women and children, domestic violence, marriage and family concerns as well as substance use, personality disorders, trauma, depression and anxiety.

My counseling approach varies from client to client. I am trained in multiple approaches such as Cogntive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strengthen Families Program. I prefer to use a mixture of approaches depending on what you are going through at that time, knowing that the treatment goals may change throughout our time. My goal is to address your goals and work through stressors by teaching coping skills. I am very easy going and enjoy completing clinical assessments and therapy with my clients. I love interacting and getting to know what makes you the best version of yourself.
