My name is Melissa Hyland Wilson. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and group therapy. I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, anger management, domestic violence, grief and loss, parenting issues, LGBTQ+ concerns, mood disorders as well as life events such as career change, parenting, marriage and divorce.
I know how hard it is to reach out for help. I work to provide a safe, comfortable environment free of judgement in which my clients can openly discuss their feelings. I believe the therapeutic relationship is important in facilitating change.
I utilize client-centered, solution focused, CBT, DBT and other approaches tailored to each client’s individual needs.
