Melissa Ciccarello, LCSW, received her Masters in Social Work at Hunter College and has been an experienced psychotherapist and clinician treating New Yorkers for over 11 years.Melissa Ciccarello, LCSW, received her Masters in Social Work at Hunter College and has been an experienced psychotherapist and clinician treating New Yorkers for over 11 years. In her current practice, she specializes in providing therapy for adults with depression, anxiety disorders, and difficulties with relationships and life transitions. She has a special interest in treating women’s mental health concerns—including difficulties with infertility and family planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and the role transition to motherhood—drawing from her own experiences as a mother to provide empathy and support for women. Trained intensively in the psychiatric emergency room (CPEP), she was known as a calming, compassionate, and relatable presence which is still reflected in her private practice work today.
