About

My goal at Hope and Healing Counseling is to provide a safe space to openly explore barriers that can prevent my clients from maintaining lasting joy in their lives. Inner beliefs, past experiences, and unhealthy relationships are often a central issue we face in learning to live as our whole selves, fully accepted and fully loved. My mission is to help my clients find wholeness and know their inherent worth. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work, followed by a Master’s of Science in Clinical Social Work. During my time at these institutions, I completed a variety of service and clinical hours working with children, families, gerontology, hospital social work, substance abuse recovery, and hospice. My professional career began working at a wilderness therapy program as a direct care worker and then a supervisor, working with teenage girls, as they navigate healing concerns such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, depression, self-harm, learning disabilities, self-esteem, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), ADD/ADHD, co-occurring disorders, attachment issues, and more. I’ve continued my professional career working with women facing similar challenges, using holistic healing methods alongside a dynamic team of professionals to address issues in clients’ lives as they move toward healing and wholeness. In working with clients, existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and reality therapy are my main models of choice. I also incorporate concepts of multiple theories of practice, dependent upon the individualized needs of the client. I am excited to be on board at Hope and Healing and look forward to serving you.
