Hello, my name is Melissa and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in California. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology which eventually led me to pursue a Masters of Social Work at University of Southern California. I have been employed in many different areas of social work to include medical social work, hospice social work, field-based social work, and outpatient mental health working with individuals over 18. I have extensive therapeutic experience working with those suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, and much more. I have worked with individuals diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, PTSD, and Schizophrenia to name a few.

My therapeutic approach is mostly that of a strengths-based approach in which I tend to utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy to aid the individual in understanding how thoughts affect how we feel, behave, and physically react to environmental stress. You have made a wise choice to research a therapist who best suits you as I believe a good client and therapist fit is very important and leads to trust and a high rate of success throughout your therapeutic journey. As your therapist I am here to guide you toward better choices, more positive regard for yourself and others, aid in improving self-esteem, communication and more.
