My name is Melissa Bauer-Post. I grew up in a small, rural community. I have fond memories of working on my grandparent’s farm, dragging main on a Friday night, and feeling safe. However, I know that growing up in rural settings can be emotionally challenging for some people, whether you are, a trauma survivor, depressed, or just feel different from everybody else. I am licensed in Nebraska, and I have 15 years of experience counseling in rural settings. I have experience working with the, Native American Tribes, trauma, and abuse survivors, grief and loss clients, couples, intimacy-related issues, and much more. I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Gottman’s approach to relationship counseling. I feel my greatest strengths are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solutions-Focused Counseling. I look forward to assisting you in an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
