I have been helping adults, first responders, and aviators with various issues including performance issues, stress, anxiety, grief, and addiction over the past 15 years. I am a master's level social worker (LMSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with degrees from WMU and Albion College. My training and work experience has included inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient mental health and addiction therapy, crisis care, and training supervision. What is your approach to therapy? I believe in curating a holistic approach that fits your unique needs using my training in CBT, DBT, mindfulness, IFS, Polyvagal informed interventions, and solution-focused techniques. Using my extensive training in a variety of practices, we will develop a top down (cognitive) and bottom up (somatic) approach to addressing your symptoms. I work diligently to understand your goals and collaborate with you to develop a plan for achieving these goals through our work together. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? Most clients who have worked with me report feeling relief, empowered, understood, and confident they can manage the stress and challenges they face.
