About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana with over twenty years of experience in providing counseling services to adolescents and adults of all ages. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. I have worked in psychiatric and medical settings helping clients who experience anxiety, depression, and adjustment to major life changes, chronic illness, and loss.
Recognizing that you need help takes strength and I am happy to work with you to develop your strengths and learn new skills. I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and use both approaches in my work with clients. I especially like teaching mindfulness and relaxation skills, which clients can use immediately to help reduce anxiety.
I use a collaborative and supportive approach and encourage clients to practice new skills to determine which are most helpful for them. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
