Hi, My name is Melanie Bruneau and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in trauma treatment as well as treatment for depression, anxiety and eating disorders. I also love helping people who are going through difficult life changes. I believe that all problems can be overcome and would love to help you on your journey to healing. My approach I use an eclectic approach to healing. I combine cognitive behavior approaches with person centered therapy. I use solution focused therapy as well motivational interviewing. I also am trained in Christian based therapy (for those who are interested in that). My focus I enjoy working with everyone, but have a lot of knowledge in trauma based therapy and have many years experience working with survivors of abuse.I have experience in helping people overcome eating disorders. I also love working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Lastly, I have worked a lot with people struggling with grief as well as experiencing life changes. My communication style I use a very client centered approach. I am empathic, nonjudgmental, kind and understanding. I believe that we are all trying our best to be our best self and that all problems can be overcome. My journey to mental healthcare I have always wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember. I love helping others and believe that some of the most important things in life are to be heard, loved understood and respected. I try my best to offer that to each and every client I meet. My goals for you I believe it is essential that clients create their goals. As a client, you chose what you want to work on. Together we will figure out a plan to achieve those goals! My first session with you During our first session, we will talk about what you wish to get out of the therapy. We will explore why you came and talk a bit about your life up until now.
