Greetings! I have been a family and marriage counselor licensed in Michigan since 2004. I have over 15 years of experience working with adults as young as 18 years old to address trauma , depression, relationship issues , anxiety and religious conflict. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My work in Child Welfare also included therapy for parents and guardians. In 2018 I was hand picked to serve as a Crisis Counselor in Genesee County for First Responder incidents and trauma. The intense work with fire fighters, police officers and doctors who deal with the trauma of being first responders has expanded my expertise to include a population that is very high stressed. I am here for you.

My therapeutic style is centered around patience, acceptance and reflection. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in giving life to stereotypes but instead I encourage my clients to challenge stereotypes. My approach combines evidence based, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive counseling.
