Hello! My name is Meheret. I am a clinical social worker and therapist. Before I became a therapist, I was a corporate lawyer. I decided to change career paths because I wanted to do work that I was passionate about and found personally meaningful.

I believe that positive mental health is a basic human right and vital to a healthy life. However, it can be difficult to navigate your mental health journey on your own. As a therapist, I am here to help you with this process. My hope is to support you with reducing distressing symptoms so you can live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to you.

I primarily work with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal problems, and stress related to life transitions. I work from a holistic perspective because I believe positive mental health is just one aspect of wellbeing.

I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches based on a client's unique needs. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, ACT and DBT. I have taken specialized courses and trainings in these interventions.
