I have my Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and hold a certificate in Veterinary Social Work. I have experience in hospital social work, working at a shelter for the homeless, with juvenile probation, and most recently working with children who have been abused and/or neglected and their non-offending caregivers. I specialize in working with trauma, grief, and loss. What is your approach to therapy? I pull from various trainings and evidence based practices to guide the suggestions I make but really lean into the relationship we build to inform our work together as we create goals and strategies to help you live your best life. I focus on coming from a trauma informed, strengths based lens that keeps you in control as we partner together to figure out what works best for you. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I like to create a warm and welcoming environment where we can work together to create goals and decide how to move forward. Therapy can be hard work, and I like to incorporate humor and fun whenever possible.
