Welcome! You just took a big step in finding help and that takes courage! My name is Megan Winkler, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). More specifically, I am someone who is passionate about your mental health. In a time where skilled therapists are abound, it can be difficult to know if you’re connecting with the right professional. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a nationally certified counselor (NCC). I have a history of working with the incarcerated population, sex offenders, foster children, cooccurring disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, codependency, impulsivity, and couples and family. I enjoy exploring new foods and cultures, reading a good book, spending time with my family, taking my pup to the park, and spending time at the beach. I entered this field because mental health should be treated with the same respect as other chronic diseases. Mental health is health! Coming to therapy and being vulnerable can be scary.
