I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Mexico with over 6 years of experience working with diverse populations. I currently specialize working with young adults, juvenile offenders, adolescents, and families. Working with adolescents and juvenile's offenders and their families, I've focused on reducing the encounters the family has with the juvenile system and law enforcement and strengthening the parent’s ability to address at risk behaviors. My experience has also allowed me to work with diverse populations and a wide range of concerns with adolescent and/or parent including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADD/ADH, behavioral concerns, parenting issues, and issues with family relationships. My work experience has also provided me immense experience and training in providing trauma informed care and delivery to clients and their family.

My approach in working with clients is calm and client center. I implement cognitive behavioral therapy along with solutions focused therapy. I believe in implementing a positive strengths-based approach in working with individuals. This combination of the services allows a practical and realistic approach to addressing concerns. I have found first identifying negative or nonproductive patterns in the thought process or in behaviors, then attempting to understand the behaviors, and finally then developing and implementing coping skills to be the most helpful in real life situations.
