Hello! My name is Megan McKeon, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I received my MSW from Syracuse University, and have been doing clinical work for 15 years. My experience includes working with several different groups of people, including adults, the elderly, children, and couples. I like to use a client-centered, supportive approach to counseling. It is important to me to meet the client where they are in their journey. I also use a solution-focused approach.
I am trained in several different treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, grief therapy, reminiscence therapy, play therapy, and functional family therapy (FFT). My specialties include helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, aging-related issues, relationship issues, and family conflicts.
It can be a difficult decision to reach out for help, and I'm glad that you took that first step! I feel the most important key to therapy is a good client/therapist relationship. I work to contribute to a good therapeutic relationship by providing an environment that is empathetic and caring in which we can address your needs together.
