Hi there! I'm Megan. I am a licensed clinical social worker and it is my mission to support my clients through their challenges and struggles and to help them find healing. My approach My approach is person-centered. I believe the relationship is the most important part of therapy. I work to foster a supportive and comfortable environment so my clients can feel open and ready to problem-solve together. My focus My typical client is someone who is experiencing anxiety, depression, or relationship problems. Many clients have more than one problem they are experiencing, and that's okay too! My communication style I have a soft spoken voice which has a calming effect on our sessions. I am also empathetic and non-judgmental, and share lots of gentle encouragement to help my clients meet their goals. My journey to mental healthcare My first experience as a therapist was in 2009 when I worked as a child therapist for a private clinic. I've worked mostly with adults over the last ten years and have developed a proclivity for working with anxiety disorders. My goals for you When we set goals, we work together to talk about what the client wants, and how we'll get there. Goal check-ins happen often and we check in on progress regularly. My first session with you During our first session, we'll get to know each other, discuss some history, and work together to establish what we want to work on.
