My life work is walking, encouraging and guiding women and men that find themselves struggling with food and body related issues into true freedom. Yes, it is possible. I can say that because as a teenager I struggled with an acute eating disorder and through my own therapy found that full recovery is possible. When I meet with my clients it is not only, “I know this” but rather, “I have been there.”

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) I have had the privilege of working in the area of eating disorders for the past 16 years after receiving my Masters Degree in Counseling from Boise State University and completing my Doctorate in Clinical Christian Counseling at Colorado Theological Seminary. I specialize in the area of over-eating, binge eating (BED), and emotional eating that is effecting weight and overall feelings of negative body image.

As a therapist I lean heavily on the narrative approach to counseling and solution-focused therapy. Intuitive eating and mindfulness is cornerstone to my work when helping people to recover the bodies natural cues of hunger and fullness. But above all, I firmly believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach. I get to meet you right where you are at today on your journey and that is sacred to me.
