Megan Fitzgerald is a licensed mental health counselor. Megan approaches each patient with respect, empathy, and an open mind to hold space and assist them through life’s difficulties. Megan believes the patient is truly the expert of their own experience. She hopes to create a space where patients feel free to express themselves and work on improving their lives. During sessions with Megan, patients can expect her to be a non-judgmental ally. Her goal is to engage with her patients and provide the support they need to improve their lives. Megan is experienced using a strengths-based approach, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. She treats a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, medication management, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, sleep disorders, stress, trauma, women’s issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Megan has been providing therapy since 2016. She works with patients ages 18-65. In her spare time, Megan enjoys gardening, playing with the interior design in her home, drawing, and spending time with her two dogs. Her favorite holiday is Halloween. Megan likes working for SohoMD because it provides resources and support, which allows therapists to focus on their patients.
