My name is Megan Garcia and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling in 2017, and have worked both a clinic and private practice environment. I have experience working with all mental health disorders and work from an eclectic treatment modality, while being supportive and person centered.
Do you feel conflicted with the thoughts in your head and parts of you that feel out of control? I can help you navigate these parts, work to understand them, and find the inner calm that you’ve been seeking. I will work just as hard as you to make sure you are understood in times when it feels complicated. Feeling emotions is one of the greatest, yet challenging abilities we as humans have. Trying to master them when the chaos of life seems more chaotic can be overwhelming. This can be especially true when you are caring for an ailing loved one and are struggling to attend to your own needs. You may feel that you are unable to turn your thoughts off which can cause you to feel that your sensations are heightened. Maybe you feel empty or numb. You may wonder why you are feeling this way and may continuously over analyze this body-mind process. You're probably feeling stuck with where you are in life, and the path ahead looks fuzzy. I believe that you have strengths that are built within you to overcome and endure life challenges that have brought you here now. I'll help you explore these strengths and intertwine healthy coping and self-care skills. I will guide you in fulfilling your need for human connection in healthy, rather than self-sabotaging ways.
