About

Hi there, I'm Megan! Megan Hoff is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who takes a compassionate and client-centered approach to counseling. Megan has extensive experience working with youth, adults, and families from various cultures and addressing diverse needs. My approach Megan believes that therapy should be a collaborative process and that the client is the expert on their life. She feels her role is to provide a non-judgmental space where clients can receive support. Megan takes a trauma-informed approach and uses a variety of tools, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, to help clients reach their goals. My focus Megan has a strong background in community mental health, working alongside youth and families. She has experience in treating depression, anxiety, school and work stress, family conflict, self-esteem, and relational challenges but is open to addressing a wide range of topics in therapy. My communication style Megan is calm and welcoming and strives to create a supportive holding space. She recognizes how challenging it is for someone to share their most intimate thoughts and feelings and prioritizes helping clients feel safe and working at their pace. My journey to therapy I was attracted to being a therapist at an early age after attending counseling of my own, but as I got older, I explored other interests and careers. During college, I took a psychology course that reignited my interest. Learning about psychology and again returning to therapy as a young adult helped me understand some of my own experiences, and I wanted to share that with others. My goals for you Goals are approached collaboratively with the client and are scaled to the client's wants, needs, and abilities so that they can be successful. My first session with you Clients should expect to spend some time sharing about themselves, what brings them into therapy, and what they hope to get out of the time together.
