From my point of view, you are a unique expression of life—you bring a complex combination of experience, skills, resources, needs, and hopes to the therapeutic process. This makes the therapeutic journey a distinctive harmony defined by the irreducible complexity of the human experience in a relationship. I will meet you fully present on this journey dedicated to the practice of radical acceptance and in support of the mindful construction of your relationship with self, others, and our shared world. This journey is both the work and the harvest of therapy. Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, I hold certification as a Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Instructor since 2011, a UCLA PEERS® Clinic Adolescents Certified Provider, trained in Mindful Schools curriculum, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and ASIST suicide prevention. I maintain requirements for the supervision of marriage and family interns, keep active membership in CAMFT since 2010, and actively engage in continuing education, research, and developments within the field. I have counseled children and adolescents within the educational and juvenile court systems as well as adults, couples, and families struggling with depression, aggressive and self-defeating behaviors, trauma, mood regulation, anxiety, attention, motivation, interpersonal relationship conflict, and major life transitions. In addition to providing community and school-based counseling services for over 10 years, I promote mental health practices through outreach, consultation, and training for parents and professionals. I am passionate about supporting youth through their unique journey while strengthening the communities that raise them. Through the development of a growth mindset and the power of mindfulness practice, I challenge students and adults alike to dream big and work hard to develop the skills needed to reach our most ambitious goals.
