Hello! Thank you for taking the interest and considering to participate in counseling!
I am a License Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming with over 10 years of experience working as therapist in the community setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, anger management, PTSD, Substance Use Disorders and ADHD.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults. I have facilitated psychoeducational groups for mental health and substance use disorders. I am fluent in English and in Spanish.
I’m passionate about this profession working from a multicultural perspective using different modalities such person-centered, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), acceptance commitment (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focus (SFBT), Play therapy, and Sand therapy.
I believe everyone has a story and deserves to be heard. I believe a person needs to feel empowered to overcome obstacles and have hope for the future and better life. I’m willing to walk beside you and listen to your experiences, providing a safe environment to process your life events, thoughts, emotions, and gain greater insight into your personal experiences. I want you to feel supported, gain greater understanding of your own strengths available within yourself and identify solutions to achieve your goals. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
