My name is Mayra Granados, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. I have over 3 years of experience as a registered psychotherapist. I have worked in a variety of settings, including youth correctional/residential services, outpatient mental health services, and outpatient integrated care in a hospital setting. When working in youth corrections, my focus and certifications included Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment Provider. In my history of clinical experience I have been providing counseling services both in English and in Spanish, many times on teams that specifically serve the Latino and immigrant populations in that area.

I focus on helping individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, difficulty regulating emotions and difficulty in relationships. I believe authenticity and transparency are crucial for the therapeutic relationship. I use a person-centered, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are in regards to your mental health and customize the treatment to your needs while being sensitive to how your cultural identities and experience. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, culturally competent and solution-focused counseling.
