I am a dedicated and culturally competent qualified Black American health professional, possessing extensive clinical experience in assessment, diagnoses and treatment of addictions and mental health as a mental health counselor and clinical social worker combined with clinical supervisory experience, possessing exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Skilled in: Aggression Replacement Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Organization Diversity Training.
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Cleveland State University where I received a Master’s degree in Community Agency Counseling and a Master of Social Work degree. I am currently licensed by the State of New York as a Clinical Social Worker with Psychotherapy Privileges.
I have been perfecting my clinical skills for more than 30 years. I believe that I have become a better therapist and person because of my clients that I have been honored to work with. I enjoy providing individual psychotherapy, couples work, addiction treatment (Medication Assisted Treatment), treating individuals with posttraumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, grief and loss, shame and guilt, forensic therapy for sex offenders, and sexual abuse survivors.
