I have 32 years experience working with families who have issues with child abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse and sexual abuse. I have a great deal of experience with families dealing with child abuse issues in Dependency Court. I have worked as a social worker with a largely diverse population to include; hispanic, afro-american and caucasian families . I utilize Bowen's theory on family dysfunctions as well as some family systems therapy. I also truly believe our individual biology has a large effect on our behavior so I encourage practices such as relaxation and meditation to promote calmness. I look forward to working with individuals who wish to better their lives and overcome their maladaptive ways of behaving and thinking. I am an advocate for families that must also meet mandated counseling requirements for Dependency Court.
