Hi There! I'm Mary Jo. I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Do you ever think to yourself, “Something just doesn't feel right in my life?” Sometimes, it's hard for us to figure out by ourselves what isn't right in our life. By talking to someone the brain starts to process what is going on. When we talk to someone who we feel is safe, our brain produces a chemical that makes us feel better. This safe conversation allows us to put our thoughts into words. I collaboratively help people to overcome what is holding them back in life. My goal is for people to live their best lives. I am honored to walk on a journey with you, even if it is for a snippet of time. I can be solution-focused or we can walk this journey together for years. I enjoy using a variety of approaches, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy; Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Mindfulness; and Walk and Talk Therapy. I know it may be scary to reach out for counseling, but I promise I will meet you with compassion, empathy, warmth, and acceptance. And, most of all, I’m non-judgemental.
