About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Hawaii. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a concentration in mental health.

My professional background involves psychotherapy with adults, working in communities, residential, and outpatient settings, providing case management services, working with clients suffering from chronic and severe mental illnesses: depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and anxiety, stress, dual diagnosis, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, coping with everyday life changes. I have counseled patients and conducted assessments, created treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams, provided resources and support for patients and their families. My experiences have allowed me to work with trauma survivors, ethnically diverse populations, and amid high stress environments. I feel comfortable responding to unique and challenging situations.

I have a unique interest in cultural diversity, which is characteristic of Hawai’i, and a high degree of integrity, responsibility, and perseverance in helping. I engage in clients with an open and generous nature to support them in the psychotherapy process. This process can give you perspective, insight, and tools for meaningful change that last a lifetime.

My treatment approach is based on creating a trusting therapeutic relationship in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I am passionate about helping clients with critical challenges, inspiring personal growth and helping people to create and live healthier, fulfilling lives.
