About

I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Michigan with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist to individuals, couples, and families. I have worked with clients ages 6 and up, with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, trauma, and grief/loss. I received my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue Calumet, and my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. I have worked in several different settings, including schools, community clinics, and private practice.

My counseling style is warm and collaborative with a focus on gentle challenges in order to help you achieve your goals. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Additionally, I am an affirmative therapist with extensive experience working with individuals and couples from the LGBTQ+ community. My approach combines several therapeutic models, including narrative therapy, systemic family therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy, cognitive-behavioral (including trauma-focused CBT), and solution focused therapy. I will work with you to create a treatment plan that meets your unique and specific needs.
