We're experiencing the unpredictability of life on a global level right now. Although that in itself is an excellent reason to find a therapist, there's even more to challenge us: Life can be unpredictable and frustrating on a personal level at any time. It can make all the difference to be able to talk things through confidentially with someone who's non-judgmental, kind, and a good listener. That support can lessen the stress and enable your natural resourcefulness and creativity to emerge.
When I meet a new client I'm always awed by their personal qualities: Here's someone who tells me about being puzzled, anxious, sad, at a loss, and I get concerned and wish them some tranquility. But I also see someone with a wealth of experiences, a number of developed and undeveloped qualities and talents, and a mysterious presence that makes this person unique and valuable. Self-doubt is normal, but don't let it hold you back from action despite it. It helps to have someone to cheer you on.
My bachelor's degree is in studio art. After a master's in Social Work from UT I've been privileged to work with males and females of diverse origins and occupations. I've worked in criminal justice and substance abuse programs, and with clients struggling with anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma, and work and relationship issues.
