I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 13 years of experience assisting my clients with improving their overall well-being and long-term resiliency. Throughout my years as a psychotherapist, I have served clients of all ages and stages of life. I am presently most interested in working with individuals in achieving their personal goals. My clients describe me as warm and welcoming, caring, empathetic, skilled, resourceful, and encouraging. I can be funny, too. I am diversely trained to assist those suffering with symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and those struggling with interpersonal conflict or emotional regulation concerns. I can help with life adjustments, relationship concerns, identity- and self-esteem development, provide grief counseling during times of loss (i.e. death, divorce, unemployment, etc.), and provide insight into adverse childhood experiences (i.e. abuse, alcoholism, domestic violence, mental health issues, perfectionism, etc.)--- and how these may be contributing to today's distress. I am here to assist you if you are feeling stuck, have a major life decision to make, or are feeling distressed due to experiencing a transition in life or other concerns. I work from a client-centered approach, creating an open and non-judgmental environment, while utilizing my training in Psychodynamics, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapies, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology, as a means to contribute to your positive well-being. I am competent in working with diverse populations from an array of cultures, and I can also incorporate the healing dimension of your spirituality into your treatment, if you desire.
