About

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina. I have 16 years of experience working in Mental Health. My primary focus has always been working with those who have difficulty accessing mental health services. My methods include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered with a focus on strengths and empowerment.

I worked as a school-based therapist for four years. I enjoy working with children and adolescents. I find it challenging and rewarding to see youth overcome and become empowered. I also worked with parents and guardians to understand and support the children.

I believe everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. I have 9 years of experience working in Child Protective Services. I have facilitated parenting groups and worked one on one with individuals to reunite families. I have worked with individuals to strengthen and empower their resolve to deal with compassion fatigue.

My belief is no one is perfect and we need to work together to end the stigma associated with Mental Illness. Our world will be a better place when we are all reaching out to give a hand up instead of pushing one another down.
