My name is Marta, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with experience providing individual, group, and family therapy. I work with individuals impacted by depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, parental stress, adverse life events, unhealthy communication, and family conflict. My approach is calm, deeply caring, and respectful of each person's unique goals, struggles, and strengths. My goal is to provide a safe, accepting place to reflect, process, and heal. I hope to empower you to reconnect with and cultivate your inner wisdom and strength so you can be free to live your life as fully as possible.

Originally from El Salvador, but I have called the Bay Area home since age 17, I earned a Master of Social Work from San Francisco State University in 2009. I also hold a bachelor's in Social Work from San Francisco State University. I have worked in outpatient community-based mental health with children, adults, and families for the past ten years.

I see therapy as your journey, where you get to narrate and decide what your future will look like regardless of your past experiences of loss, trauma, fears, and negative coping. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and take the first steps towards change. I support and empower you if you are ready to take that step.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy hiking, running, cooking, and spending time enjoying nature.
