Hello!
My name is Markieta Boswell. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in the mental health profession for 7 years. I obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University and my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Marygrove College. My experience is in helping and supporting others through this journey we call life. Some of the specific areas that I have aided people through have been depression, grief/loss, trauma, women's issues, family challenges, work/employment conflict and self esteem issues. My counseling approach is to develop a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental and trusting relationship where people are free to be their authentic selves. As your Counselor/Therapist, my primary goal would be to partner alongside you as you walk towards a positive and healthy place of inner growth and/or healing.
