I am a licensed certified social worker with over 35 years of clinical experience and have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings including the Veterans Administration. I received a B.A. in Psychology from S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh in 1981 and a Masters of Social Work Degree from S.U.N.Y. Albany in 1986. I utilize evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) treatments including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, and other problems in living. As an ACT therapist and a person in mental health recovery I practice what I preach and consider therapy to be a two-way street: I learn from my clients and am hopeful that my clients learn from me.
I am originally from Saratoga Springs, New York and have lived in Maine for 20+ years together with my wife and two children. I am passionate about landscaping and music and play trumpet for the Kennebec Performing Arts Company.
