Marjie is a licensed professional clinical counselor who is passionate about helping people. With a masters degree in clinical mental health and art therapy Marjie brings a unique set of tools to each session. Marjie has gained experience over the last 11 years working in community mental health, foster care, a hospice setting, acute psychiatric inpatient, working with those with severe mental illness in an outpatient setting, and private practice outpatient. Marjie sees mental health counseling as a great catalyst to support people as they adapt, grow, cope, and heal. She views her job as a helping position where she comes alongside her clients to both assess the problem they are seeking help with, develop goals, and ultimately achieve them. This consists of a great deal of empathy, listening, support, and challenge. Marjie is very serious about faith and can readily facilitate faith based counseling when requested.
