Hi
My name is Marjorie; I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. I have two Master degrees; one in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the other in Public Health in Community Health Education. I have a strong foundation and belief in health and wellness.
I enjoy working with adolescents aged 16 and older, and adults of all ages, life stages, ethnic and racial backgrounds, and gender orientation.
My clinical areas of expertise include eating disorders & disordered eating, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Depression, Anxiety, OCD, illness & health concerns, life transitions, grief, loss, and trauma-including work with persons with Dissociative issues such as DID. In the area of relationship challenges I can assist couples and individuals with school, work, marriage, partnership or family problems.
I use assessments, scales and a blend of therapies to help my clients based on individual needs. The therapies I utilize include Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral, Rational Emotive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, Rogerian or Client-Centered, and trauma-informed, along with the techniques of meditation, mindfulness, and self-expression using plants, music, art, and journaling.
I believe respect and trust is realized by creating an environment where all feel safe and comfortable sharing, knowing their thoughts, feelings and experiences will be held in high regard, and confidentiality appropriately kept.
