Hello, my name is Marissa. I am a licensed counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. I have worked in a school setting, as well as in the private sector. I have experience working with , but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, issues with self-esteem.

I feel that the foundation of all relationships is trust; and that includes the therapeutic relationship that I seek to gain with my clients. I take a client centered approach that promotes empathy , assessing, realistic goals and meeting each individual client to where there are at on their mental health journey. The sessions are not about me as the counselor, but the client, so I want each person to feel comfortable enough to 'fire me' if they do not feel it will be a right match. The goal is to build that healthy and trusting therapeutic relationship and I hope everyone has the opportunity to achieve better mental health and success.

It is not easy to start this journey but I am happy to help anyone who is looking to take the first step.
