Marissa Pereida is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist from Northern California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Dominican University of California. Marissa enjoys traveling internationally and participating in medical missions to provide medical care in places that include Kenya and Cambodia. Traveling internationally has increased her desire to serve and guide people through the challenges and adversities they face. Marissa is part of the Native American community and has experience working in a variety of settings including substance recovery. She values integrating cultural and spiritual practices into the path of healing and recovery. Her passion is to help individuals find healing and guide them through their life’s challenges and mental health struggles with the use of healthy strategies and coping skills. She hopes to see individuals and families overcome barriers and access care in order to improve their overall well-being. In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs. She also enjoys being outdoors, gardening, going on long walks, reading, and traveling.
