I am a licensed mental health counselor, with a focus on addiction and substance use. In 2018, I graduated from Pace University with my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Throughout the last several years, I have worked in a hospital setting, helping clients treat psychiatric decompensation along with drug or alcohol relapse. Having both the experience of inpatient and outpatient settings, I have gained a thorough understanding for the spectrum which mental health illnesses are demonstrated. I work with a wide population of clients ranging from ages 18-70 years old. I'm a firm believer that some of the best treatment is resulted from a strong therapeutic relationship. As a therapist, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and genuine environment during sessions. Implementing trauma-informed care has allowed many clients to not only build trust through our rapport but also feel empowered. I am trained in medication assisted treatment (MAT), able to provide psycho-education for someone who looks for added support and relapse prevention planning. Assessments that I am familiar administering include but are not limited to: PHQ-9, Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), Modified Mini Screening (MMS), CAGE, South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS), and Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ).
