I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Life is full of obstacles and challenges. I feel that building healthy foundations can help with coping with these challenges effectively. My 27 years of experience in the Mental Health field has allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge that has enabled me to assist clients in identifying life challenges. I feel my job is to help individuals generate creative solutions to challenges and problems while providing support and empowerment. I strive to work with individuals on getting a better understanding of themselves and their behaviors to be able to focus on their strengths while assisting them with finding courage to face discomfort and change. I feel that through goal setting and collaborative work building a healthy foundation is attainable. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome obstacles and challenges and assisting them to acknowledge that they are the experts of their lives. There is no greater joy than to see an individual recognize their vision for their lives and that they have the power to change their lives for the better.

I graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I obtained a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Webster University. I have an extensive history of working with individuals that have experienced major life changes, anger management issues, anxiety, stress, and depression. I emphasize the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing , and Solution Focused Therapy but rely heavily on the therapeutic alliance to tailor therapy to the specific needs of the individuals.
