Hi there, I'm Maribel! Hello. My name is Maribel Flores Hartford, and I am a Licensed and Marriage Family Therapist in the state of California. I have worked with a variety of people, from as young as newborn all the way to geriatric clients, in customer service, educational, medical, social services, and substance use outpatient setting for a total of 17 years. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because I like to provide visual evidence to my clients on how they are making progress and meets my personal style, as structure is needed for success, growth, gives clear goals, and makes sure that responsibilities are clearly defined. With that being said, I will assign homework ocassionally for clients to complete off sessions to gain the skills they need to become independently successful and honest feedback will be provided when needed. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is not for everyone, and I am willing to be flexible and work with whatever approach works best for my clients. My focus I typically work with Spanish speaking adults (18 and over), families, and minors (13-17 y/o). I can help with any issues. My goal is to genuinely help my clients 100%, as I genuinely believe in just being transparent and caring about their overall wellbeing. I offer my honesty and compassion to all my clients. I will also provide feedback when permitted and appropriate. My communication style I provide a safe environment where my clients can easily vent, be themselves, and be always heard. At the same time, I like to provide feedback and honesty when needed and agreed upon. Working with me is like having someone who genuinely cares every step of the way. I accept my clients for who they are. I have experienced many struggles in life myself from childhood until now, which helps me relate to my clients better.
