Hi there! Seeking therapy is a courageous action that can help you move closer to positive change. I provide supportive, goal-oriented therapy that is warm-natured, non-judgmental, and lively. My focus is to help you gain valuable insight, facilitate the discovery of your own personal strengths, and support the cultivation of practical self-mastery skills so that you may grow emotionally resilient in the face of stress and change. Concerns related to anxiety and depression are the most common reasons individuals seek therapy. My practice areas of expertise are in co-dependency recovery, adult survivors of abuse and trauma, problems with relationships, acculturation issues, and problems related to work dissatisfaction (particularly professional burn-out). I combine psychoeducation and stress management counseling into the process of therapy when appropriate. I am a strong proponent of evidenced-based modalities such as CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy approaches (MBCT, MBSR, ACT) while psychodynamic, contemplative psychology, humanistic, Socratic, and existential philosophy influence my view and practice towards psychotherapy. Raised in Miami, FL I am culturally sensitive toward diverse populations and offer my clients a reassuring presence during the process. I am familiar with resources in and out of the Miami community, as well as the value of integrative medicine and other wellness modalities.
