Marian is Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience providing therapy to clients of all ages and within all therapeutic settings. The majority of her work has been with adolescents, adults and senior citizens in outpatient settings. Marian received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Her areas of expertise are treating anxiety, depression, stress management, parenting skills, behavioral management, and skill building. Before she became a social worker, she worked as a high school science teacher and coach of girl's athletics. She has found that her background in teaching and coaching has been an asset in her therapeutic work with her clients. Marian likes to use cognitive behavioral therapy with an educational component. She wants to help her clients identify what is working and what is not working for them, challenge their thought processes, and teach them some skills that they can use to make changes for a better outcome and feel confident with themselves. Marian truly enjoys her clients, likes to use her sense of humor in therapy, and welcomes working with everyone from any background. She hopes to help her clients improve their lives while having a positive experience in therapy. In her spare time Marian enjoys walking, hiking in the desert, biking, playing pickleball and traveling with her family.
